Áine Kerr

COO and co-founder, Kinzen

Áine Kerr is COO and co-founder of Kinzen, a start-up developing solutions for people who want conscious control of their news experience.

Up until 2017, Áine led global journalism partnerships at Facebook in New York, overseeing a team focused on building products, tools and services for journalists, and also working to improve news literacy for consumers. Before that, she spent five years at Storyful, where she served as head of content and political editor before being appointed managing editor in December 2011. Áine also spent more than seven years working as a political correspondent and news reporter with The Irish Times, the Irish Independent and the Irish Examiner.

A journalism graduate of Dublin City University (DCU), Áine is an adviser to the DCU Institute for Future of Media and Journalism, as well as JOLT, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions European Training Network. She is also a Fellow of the Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program at Columbia University. Áine was awarded Woman of the Year in Media 2018 by Irish Tatler magazine.
