Neon is using immersive technologies to improve peoples’ health and wellbeing. Neon’s first product, BreatheVR, is an app to manage chronic pain and improve mental health and has launched on the Oculus store. Their second product – an AR game called Whack A Mo – is now being piloted in the Belfast Children’s Hospital.
Neon is led by award-winning design visionary Deepa Mann-Kler. Deepa directed and produced her first virtual-reality experience, ‘RETNE’, built for HTC Vive and demoed at SxSW 2017.
Previously, Deepa worked as a full-time visual artist with a strong focus on public art installations and was invited to participate in Lumiere in 2013 in UK City of Culture Derry and in 2016 in London.
Deepa also has 11 years’ experience working in equality and authored the first report into racism in Northern Ireland, ‘Out of the Shadows’.
