In August 2018, Emma Walker co-founded BlockW, a platform for communication, education and the exchange of ideas, aiming to bridge the gap between the impossible and possible for women in blockchain in Ireland.
Up until December 2018, Emma served as managing director for Ireland at Wachsman, a global professional services firm for the blockchain industry, before stepping down to complete a graduate course in organisational behaviour at Harvard.
After joining Wachsman in early 2016, Emma was named one of FinanceFeeds’ 30 Under 30 and rapidly became a globally acknowledged expert in blockchain PR. Emma has provided counsel to many of the world’s most high-profile blockchain organisations, including Lisk, Aragon, Dash, Crypto Valley Association, Aeternity and Streamr.
In recognition of Emma’s achievements to date, she was awarded the 2018 Special Recognition Award at the Irish Early Career Awards, shortlisted for the prestigious Image Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2018 and announced as a finalist for the Blockchain Leader Award in the 2018 Women in Tech Awards.
