Playwright and performer, Hedy! The Life & Inventions of Hedy Lamarr

Heather Massie is an actor and writer based in New York City. Originally from Virginia, she has always been fascinated by science, and seeks to marry this passion with art in her portrayal of Hedy Lamarr.

Heather studied astrophysics at the University of Virginia and theatre arts at the Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts. For Hedy! The Life & Inventions of Hedy Lamarr she has garnered 11 awards including Best Actress at the 2017 Galway Fringe; Outstanding Performance in a Solo Show at the 2017 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, NYC; Festival Bestseller at the 2016 United Solo Theatre Festival, NYC; Best Actress in the 2017 SaraSolo Festival, Florida; and Audience Choice Awards at the 2017 Shenandoah Fringe in Virginia and the 2017 IndyFringe in Indiana. She has performed the show throughout the US, as well as in Ireland, Zimbabwe and South Africa. She is slated to perform in Gothenburg, Sweden and in Rome.
