Fintech and financial services lead for Asia Pacific, Enterprise Ireland
Mo Harvey is fintech and financial services lead for Asia Pacific with Enterprise Ireland. Based in Hong Kong, Mo is responsible for helping to start and scale Irish fintech companies in Asia Pacific, working with entrepreneurs to identify and harness opportunities in the financial services industry. Together with the Enterprise Ireland teams in Dublin, China, Singapore, Korea, Japan and Australia, Mo helps to develop market-entry and growth strategies, drive innovation, and provide on-the-ground support to companies in the region.
Prior to joining Enterprise Ireland, Mo was a corporate lawyer for almost 10 years (in Ireland and Hong Kong) and actively involved in the tech start-up scene in Asia as an investor and adviser.
Mo is passionate about supporting start-ups with female founders and is involved with a number of organisations promoting women in business. In Asia, she was a protégé in The Women’s Foundation Mentoring Programme for Women Leaders in Business, a committee member of Women in Law Hong Kong and the past co-chair of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation in Hong Kong.
In her spare time, Mo is also involved in Camel Assembly, an international community of creative female leaders who gather to make change and take action across the globe. With members across eight cities (New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, Nairobi and Dubai) and four continents, they partner with members and brands to make a mark on their city through purposeful, inspiring events and campaigns. Key events have included the International Women’s Day #BeBoldForChange campaign in March 2017, facilitation of the Hong Kong Human Rights Art Prize in December 2017 and the #ActiveActivist campaign, which highlighted dozens of women across the world making change on an everyday basis.
